Units marked with an * require completion of a work placement of a minimum hours. The work placement involves an average of 12 hours per week at an IAH clinic, completing activities that contribute to assessment.

Units marked with a ^ require completion of clinic days. This clinical training must be completed at an IAH clinic, and covers skills such as surface anatomy, palpation, clinical examination, assessment of conditions, treatment plans, tactile therapies and massage techniques.

This Diploma of Remedial Massage qualification requires the completion of HLTAID011, Provide First Aid. Students are required to attain this through an appropriate training organisation and provide a Statement of Attainment to receive a Credit Transfer for this unit. In undertaking this unit, students will need to have the physical capacity to undertake CPR for at least two minutes kneeling on the floor.

Students will also be required to complete Clinic Days as part of their assessment. This clinical training must be completed at an IAH clinic, and covers skills such as surface anatomy, palpation, clinical examination, assessment of conditions, treatment plans, tactile therapies and massage techniques.
